Peer Review Process
Journal of Basic Research in Medical Sciences (JBRMS) is a peer-reviewed, open access international journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, short communication, case report and letter to the editor-in-chief in all fields of medical sciences. All submissions, at first, are reviewed by the editors for concordance with the principles of JBRMS. The qualified manuscripts are undergone a double-blinded peer-review process by at least 2 external expert reviewers. The final decision on accepting or rejecting the revised manuscripts are made by the Editorial Board Members.  
 
Conflict of Interest Statement
The authors of the submitted manuscripts to Journal of Basic Research in Medical Sciences (JBRMS), must clearly disclose all potential conflict of interests that may be related to their work, according to COPE’s guidelines. All reviewers/editors of JBRMS follow the policy when evaluating the manuscripts. In the regard the authors should fill a statement in which all possible competing interests are checked. 
 
Human and animal rights
For studies with human being, JBRMS is strongly committed to the Declaration of Helsinki. The authors must report, in manuscript, the ethical approval of their study that has been issued by an authentic ethics committee. Clinical trial studies must be registered in an identified trials registry that complies with the international committee of medical journal Editors (ICMJE)
The experimental studies on animals must also be approved by an authentic ethics committee that would adhere to the ethics of animal research (the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science; Ethical Guidelines)
 
Informed Consent Statement
In human studies, informed consent from all participants is a mandatory for enrolling in the research. The   informed consent form must be signed by the participant or his/her appropriate legal guardian (when the participant was unable to sign). The   informed consent statement should be mentioned in the manuscript.
 
Acknowledgements
Those individuals who have contributed to the study but did not meet the authorship criteria, should be acknowledged in the 'acknowledgements' section of manuscript.
 
Changes in authorship
For any changing in the authorship of submissions or published articles, signed agreements from all authors is necessary. The change of authorship in published articles would be indicated only in an Erratum.

All articles and content  of JBRMS is under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Public License. To the extent this Public License may be interpreted as a contract, we are granted the Licensed Rights in consideration of your acceptance of these terms and conditions, and the Licensor grants you such rights in consideration of benefits the Licensor receives from making the Licensed Material available under these terms and conditions.
 
Ownership and management
JBRMS
is owned by Ilam University of Medical Sciences, Iran, and is managed and published by YektaPub Co.
 
Plagiarism detection
All submissions to JBRMS are screened for any potential plagiarism. If plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be rejected and a feedback will be sent to the   authors' institutions.
 
Correction and retraction
JBRMS is adhere to the ICMJE and COPE guidelines for any correction to, or retraction of the published articles. Restricted correction or retraction may be executed by issuing Correction or Retraction article that have been linked to the original ones. The original articles are not changed. In very rare cases, an article may be removed from Journal site, permanently.
