The JBRMS is the official scientific quarterly international journal of Ilam University of Medical Sciences, Ilam, Iran. If the references of manuscript have been made using Endnote/Reference manager software or similar programs, removing the endnote/reference manager links from the manuscript file is necessary. All tables must be prepared in Microsoft Office Word table format in the main submission file (after references of main text in separate pages) and should not be prepared as graphics or images. All figures, pictures, graphics, diagrams or images should also be included in separate pages in the main submission file after references.

The pages should be numbered sequentially. The manuscript contains the following sections:
1- Title page
The title page should include the manuscript title, a running title of 50 characters or fewer, the full names and affiliations of all authors. The telephone/ fax number, address and e-mail of the corresponding author are also mandatory.
2- Abstract and Keywords page
All manuscript must contain an abstract. The abstract may not contain more than 250 words for original or review articles and 100 words for short communication or case report articles. It should be formatted as the Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, and Conclusion sections. This formatting is not needed for review and case report articles. Abstract should explain the purposes or motivation for the study, the main results/observations and conclusions. It should not include any references or abbreviations.
On the page, 4-8 keywords may be included. The keywords will be published with the paper and used for indexing purpose. Key words should match the Medical Subject Headings used in Index Medicus if possible.

Original Articles
Original articles should be limited to 5,000 words, including References, Figure Legends and Tables. The articles should be formatted as the Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements and References sections. A review article explains a main field of research, evaluates recent studies in that field and signifies its debates, progress and future implications. The main text of the articles may be sectioned as the Introduction, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Financial Support and References sections. However, structural formation of a review article may not restrict to the sections. Tables (including table title and footnotes), Figures and Figure legends should be included in separate pages after references.

Also, all references should be listed as a separate section at the end of main text. Complete information of each article reference including the surnames, and initials of all authors up to six ( when more than six authors exist, list the first six and add et al.), title of article, name of journal abbreviated according to Index Medicus style, year, volume, issue, first and last page numbers are necessary. Digital object identifier (DOI) for any reference, if possible, should be included at the end of that reference. Authors may conform the following patterns for articles:
- Tran TN, Brettingham-Moore K, Duong CP, Mitchell C, Clemons NJ, Phillips WA. Molecular changes in the phosphatidylinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway are common in gastric cancer. J Surg Oncol. 2013; 108(2):113-20. doi: 10.1002/jso.23357.
- Bräutigam L, Johansson C, Kubsch B, McDonough MA, Bill E, Holmgren A, et al. An unusual mode of iron-sulfur-cluster coordination in a teleost glutaredoxin. Biochem Biophys Res Commun. 2013; 436(3):491-6. doi: 10.1016/j.bbrc.2013.05.132.
